The districts include local units known as urban and rural municipalities. 753 local units which include 6 metropolitan municipalities, 11 sub-metropolitan municipalities, 276 municipalities for a total of 293 urban municipalities, 460 rural municipalities, and 6,743 wards in the Himalayan country of Nepal.

Population: According to the general census of Nepal 2018, the population of Nepal is 28.9 million.
Language: National language is Nepali. People in Nepal also Speaks Newari, Gurung, Tamang, Maithili and other as their mother tongue. They are also equally considered and respected as national language.

Political System: Federal Democratic Republic.

Religion: Nepal is a secular state. Religious tolerance and freedom is the characteristics feature mentioned in the newly made constitution of Nepal. Most of the people follow Hinduism. Other religious followed in Nepal are Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, etc.
Geographical: Nepal is divided into 3 geographical regions namely Hilly, Mountain and Terai Regions.
